Audi have made a global commitment in announcing that by 2026 every new Audi model launch will be fully electric.

Audi are no stranger to being at the forefront of vehicle technology. Audi’s history includes milestones such as the introduction of Quattro that saw them lead the way in the World Rally Championship and numerous wins at the 24 hours of Le mans with TDI technology. Audi also pioneered the use of aluminium space frame technology and many lighting innovations throughout the years.

Audi South Africa has announced that they are progressing with the rollout of electric models in the first quarter of 2022. This rollout will include the launch of six new e-tron models.

These six models include the e-tron 50 and 55 in the SUV category, the e-tron Sportback 55 and e-tron Sportback S in the CUV category and the e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT in the high performance category.

Representatives from Audi believe that the introduction of this electric range is a key part of their objective to have the youngest and freshest product offering in the market.

Product specification and pricing of e-tron models will be announced closer to next years launch.
