It is no secret that the compact SUV segment is one of the most popular at the moment, which is why Haval have taken the decision to expand their offering with the launch of the brand new Jolion, which will sell alongside their well established H2.

At first glance the futuristic yet expressive Phil Simmons design catches your eye. This look is further accentuated by the front and rear LED vision front and rear lights which help to give the Jolion a sporty yet elegant look. The split design daytime running lamps add to the futuristic appeal while chrome finished accents from the diffuser to the branded side garnish add to the overall elegance.

Inside story

The interior is premium and sporty. Every element is ergonomically interconnected and easily within reach of the driver. Attention to detail is class leading with soft touch materials and white stitching on the steering wheel, dashboard and seats adding to the luxury look and feel.

The centre console houses a beautiful and innovative rotary dial shifter in models equipped with an automatic gearbox. This design element saves space in the cabin and is complemented by an electronic parking brake, wireless charging station, floating 12,3-inch infotainment system and smart touch panel. Standout connectivity features include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality as well as Wireless Charging.

A virtual instrument cluster features three visual models for personalisation of the driver experience while a heads-up displays highlights vital information to the driver without them having to take their eyes off the road.

Under the bonnet

The Jolion features a powerful yet eco friendly engine producing 105kW at 5600rpm and 210Nm at 2000rpm while Haval claim it will use just 7.5litres/100km.

This engine is mated to either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed Dual Clutch transmission.

Safety is a priority

The Jolion is equipped with EPB, Cruise Control, Dual front airbags, child locks, ABS, EBD as well as electronic stability control and traction control. Anti-Roll, Secondary Collision Mitigation, Hill Assist, Tyre Pressure Monitoring system, rear park sensors and Bluetooth are all fitted as standard.

Pricing includes a five-year/100 000km Warranty and a five-year/60 000km Service plan.
