Mazda expands CX-30 line up to include Carbon Edition
Mazda has added the Carbon Edition to their CX-30 model range, which expands the offering to four derivatives.
The CX-30 Carbon Edition is the second of these models to join the local line up following the successful introduction of the CX-5 Carbon Edition.
The 2.0-litre Carbon Edition includes a high level of standard specification, such as rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, automatic transmission paddle shifters and a smart advanced keyless system to name a few.
Bespoke Carbon Edition touches include Black cloth seating, Red stitching throughout the interior touch points, black exterior mirrors and black 18-inch alloy wheels.
A new Platinum Quartz colour has been added to the CX-30 range, however the CX-30 Carbon Edition will be available in six colours including Snowflake White Pearl, Sonic Silver, Machine Grey, Soul red Crystal, Polymetal Grey and Jet Black.
The epitome of the Kodo design language
Launched in 2021, the CX-30 combines the bold proportions of an SUV with the sleek profile a coupe.
The evolved KODO design language utilises bold forms in which all elements have been whittled down and refined based on the less is more concept and the embodiment of a delicate play of light and shadows created through ever-changing reflections.
Under the bonnet
All models in the Mazda CX-30 range are powered by the same 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that offers 121kW at 6000rpm and 213Nm at 4000rpm. Mazda claim a combined fuel consumption figure of just 6.6 litres/100km.
Being based on the very latest SKYACTIV-Vehicle Dynamics and Architecture technology ensures great handling, refinement and driver engagement. The addition of G-Vectoring Plus enhances handling stability by controlling torque and brakes to keep yaw movements in check.
Safety equipment includes driver, passenger, driver knee, side and curtain airbags. ABS, EBD, Emergency Brake Assist and Dynamic Stability Control help the driver to avoid an accident in the first place.
Inside story
The interior design is based on Mazda’s human-centered design philosophy. The basic layout combines a snug and condensed cockpit area for the driver and a clean, airy open space around the front passenger.
An 8.8-inch display screen allows along with the conveniently located Commander rotary dial controls aft of the gear lever allow for control of the MZD Connect System, Apply CarPlay or Android Auto and eight-speaker sound system.
