Mitsubishi announces Pajero Legend 100
The last 100 units of current model receive exclusive Pajero Legend 100 nomenclature
Mitsubishi South Africa, who introduced their latest version of the Pajero Sport in September 2017 and followed it up with upgrades in 2019 and 2020, has launched the Pajero Legend 100 Club. This marks the release of the last 100 Special Edition versions of the iconic SUV in its current form.
These exclusive limited models stand out thanks to a unique Pajero Legend 100 badge and each owner receives a certificate of membership to the club.
The Pajero in all its forms over the years cemented Mitsubishi Motors as a top-class manufacturer of SUVs starting back in 1985 when a Pajero at the hands of Stephane Peterhansel clinched the first of 12 Dakar victories.
Under the bonnet
Pajero has given their 3.2-litre DI-DC Auto in SWB and LWB configuration the Legend treatment.
Its renowned diesel power plant, featuring DOHC, Intercooled Turbo Diesel with Common Rail Injection technology boasts 140kW at 3800rpm and 441Nm at 2000rpm.
Safety a top priority
Continuously updated throughout its lifecycle, the Pajero Legend 100 boasts all the safety features that shoppers could want and more.
The Pajero has been built with Mitsubishi Motors Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution body construction and packed with innovative safety technology. Equipment includes six-airbags and Isofix child seat anchor points, side-impact protection bars, active stability and traction control, ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, rear PDC and a rear-view camera.
What makes it different?
Instantly recognisable thanks to its Legend 100 nomenclature, the Pajero 100 boasts a striking chrome radiator grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, side steps and bold bumper, integrated fog lamps and LED Daytime Running lamps. High Intensity Discharge headlamps supply optimal visibility at night, providing a wider view and brighter illumination.
Inside the Pajero is as luxurious as it is rugged. The roomy cabin offers adjustable seating for up to seven adults that can be configured to maximise passenger or cargo space to suit everyday needs.
Only 100 units of the Pajero Legend will be made available and are offered with a three-year/100 000km warranty and five-year/100 000km maintenance plan.
