Featuring a minimalist design, luxurious comfort and innovative assistance systems, the 6th generation Mercedes-Benz C-Class is set to continue its global success story.

Since its introduction in 1982, more than 10.5 million C-Class models have been sold in more than 100 markets around the world.

The new C-Class, which will arrive in showrooms from December 2021, will continue to be built in the East London plant, following a R13 billion investment in upgrades to the plant in preparation for this new model.

All-new design

The new C-Class features a dynamic exterior design and sumptuous interior that takes inspiration from the flagship S-Class.

Designers have reduced lines to a minimum, which accentuates the shoulder line even further. A wide track and 18 or 19-inch wheels with a modern design add to the sporty appearance. The rear-end is unmistakably Mercedes-Benz, with the tail lamp design offering an unmistakable day and night appearance.

Inside story

Inside the driver area features a second-generation Mercedes-Benz user experience, making the interior even more digital and intelligent.

The Hey Mercedes voice assistant has become more interactive and capable of learning by activating online services in the Mercedes me App. Certain actions can also be performed without the activation keyword. Hey Mercedes can explain vehicle functions and can recognise occupants by their voices.

Under the bonnet

The new C-Class will be launched into the South African market with C200 and C220d four-cylinder engine derivatives. The C200 offers 150kW and 300Nm while using just 6.6 litres per 100km. The C220d boasts 147kW and 440Nm of torque while returning impressive fuel consumption figure of 4.6 litres per 100km. All models are fitted with a 9G-Tronic transmission.

The C200 will be available in an Edition 6 launch model, which will be limited to 400 units and features numerous visual accents, which underline its exclusivity. Additional features include and AMG Line package, 19-inch AMG wheels, Panoramic sliding sunroof and Agility Control.
