Nissan launches all-new X-Trail
Nissan South Africa has launched the all-new X-Trail featuring a modern design, a full suite of advanced driving assistance technologies and safety features as well as a refined interior.
The new Nissan X-Trail boasts a stylish design and a strong front fascia that incorporates sleek LED headlights, front and rear signature lamps, distinctive and imposing front air vents and robust, yet crafted lines. Upfront the unmistakable V-motion grille bears the familiar Nissan DNA. Stylish alloy wheels measuring 17, 18 or 19 inches depending on the model round off the exterior.
Under the bonnet
The new X-Trail is available in three derivatives including the Visia CVT, Acenta CVT and Acenta Plus CVT. All models are fitted with the same 2.5-litre, four-cylinder that boasts 135kW and 244Nm allowing the X-Trail to achieve a top speed of 195km/h. Nissan also claims a combined fuel consumption figure of 7.4 litres per 100km.
Nissans unique all-wheel drive technology strikes the perfect balance between powerful and unprecedented control and the driving experience can be tailored by means of five selectable drive modes.
Inside story
Inside Visa derivatives are fitted with a fabric interior while Acenta and Acenta Plus models gain a synthetic black leather interior. The X-Trail boasts a seven-seat configuration and a versatile luggage space that allows it to seamlessly cater for the practicalities of day-to-day life.
The new X-Trail features three displays, including a 12.3-inch intuitive touch screen, 10.8-inch head-up display and 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. All passengers are transported in comfort thanks to three-zone air-conditioning and ergonomic seats.
All-wheel drive capabilities
The Nissan X-Trail continues to offer the 4x4 driving capabilities that the X-Trail is known for and this has been bolstered by driver assistance features such as Intelligent Cruise Control, Predicative Front Collision Warning, Blind Spot Intervention, Cross Traffic Alert, Forward Emergency Braking and ProPilot.
The latest driver assistance features
Advanced ProPilot with Nav-Link safety technologies is designed to read the road ahead and adjust the drive accordingly. An around view monitor offers a 360-degree view of the car with selectable focus on front, rear and kerbside views.
The Driver Attention Alert system is intended to address potential driver fatigue and inattention. Safety equipment includes ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control and Vehicle Dynamic Control. In the event of an accident Driver, passenger, curtain front side and front far side airbags are in place to keep occupants safe.
