The new Jaguar F-Pace featuring a refreshed exterior, new interior including Pivi Pro infotainment system and new engine options is now available in South Africa.

Refreshed styling

The F-Pace has been given a cleaner presence thanks to a sculpted bonnet that now features a wider power bulge and more defined surfaces that contributes to the striking finish by reducing the number of shut lines. Heritage logo-inspired diamond detailing now adorns the bigger grill while Leaper emblems have been relocated to the side fender vents.

The air intakes in the front bumper have been redesigned along with the addition of dark mesh details. The latest super slim all-LED quad headlights feature daytime running lights and are available with optional Pixel LED technology. The system can create varying light beam patterns by selecting different LED segments to illuminate what is necessary without distracting other drivers.

Slim line taillights feature Jaguar’s double chicane graphic alongside a revised rear bumper and sculpted new tailgate. Animated directional indicators round off the cutting edge lighting package.

Inside story

The highlight of the updated interior is a centrally mounted 11.4-inch curved-glass HD Pave Pro touchscreen. New finishes include open-pore wood veneers and aluminium that takes pride of place in the upper door insert and full width lid that has been formed across the instrument panel.

A new centre console meets the instrument panel and incorporates a wireless charger and greater storage capacity. A new Drive selector is finished in a combination of cricket-ball stitching and precision-engineered metal. Grab handles, door storage and electric window switches have been redesigned in the interests of ergonomics.

Improved seat designs feature wider cushioning, new massage functions and enhanced coverage of the heating and cooling areas.

The Cabin Air Purification Plus system includes two additional features to improve the quality of cabin air. Air Purge uses the climate control system to freshen the air inside the vehicle before the doors are opened. Cabin CO2 sensing monitors and regulates the carbon dioxide level of the interior and can enable more fresh air to be admitted if necessary.

The latest Pivi Pro infotainment system can be accessed through the new 11.4-inch curved glass HD touchscreen that is three times brighter and 48% larger than the 10-inch screen it replaces. Simplified menu structures allow drivers to access or view 90 percent of common tasks from the home screen within a maximum of two taps.

Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard and allow for the connection of two phones via Bluetooth simultaneously. Wireless charging with signal booster keeps devices topped up and connected with the help of an external aerial.

In front of the driver there is now a 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Display with configurable layout that can show full-screen navigation, digital dials, media, contact list or infotainment details. In collaboration with the Head up Display the driver is fed all the necessary information without any distraction.

Active Road Noise Cancellation technology constantly monitors vibrations from the road surface and counters it with the necessary opposite sound wave resulting in quieter noise levels within the cabin.

Driver assistance technology includes Clear Exit Monitor, which alerts occupants to the presence of an approaching car or cyclist when exiting the vehicle. 3D Surround camera technology delivers advanced 3D functionality using the latest camera technology and a choice of real time viewing when manoeuvring. Adaptive Cruise Control with steering assist is perfect for long highway journeys, gently assisting with steering, acceleration and braking.

Under the bonnet

The new F-Pace will be available with two diesel and three petrol engine options, all featuring intelligent all-wheel drive and eight speed automatic transmissions.
