Special Edition added to Renault Kwid range

Renault Kwid range expanded with special Ultra Ltd Edt

Reuben Van Niekerk

With the arrival of the new Renault Kwid Ultra Ltd Edt, the value proposition of this popular entry-level model becomes even more attractive.

The Renault Kwid overturns established entry-level segment design cues thanks to its robust, stylish exterior plus a modern and inviting interior equipped with generous cabin space as well as features and fitments normally unattainable in its class

What’s new?

The Renault Kwid exudes a sense of robustness, putting forward a more muscular and tough exterior, enhancing its SUV-inspired look. New larger 14-inch wheels sporting stylish wheel covers improved the ground clearance even further and together with the new rear axle aid in improving the road holding of the Kwid.

Unique design cues, such as SUV styled headlamps with silver streak LED DRLs and tail lamps with LED light guides along with the new front fascia exude a sense of aggression, adding to the overall appeal.

The bi-tone Renault Kwid Ultra Ltd Edt takes this already stylish design to the next level, with a white gloss body finished off with a striking black roof and side mirrors.

Inside Story

The interior features new chrome finishes, adding to the premium feel, while the upholstery fabrics have been modernised. The piano black centre fascia and meter cluster with sporty graphics add to the sporty ambience and are home to standard technology such as air-conditioning as well as electric front and rear windows and side mirrors.

A new MediaNav multi-media system complete with larger eight-inch touchscreen, radio, Bluetooth as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is sure to keep occupants connected and entertained. Parking is made easy thanks to a reverse camera and park distance sensors.

Under the bonnet

The compact 1.0 litre, three-cylinder engine that powers the Kwid has been optimised for power and performance and now pushes out 50kW at 5 000rpm and 91Nm at 4 250rpm and can be paired to a five-speed manual or five-speed AMT gearbox. Fuel consumption is admirable, with Renault claiming that the manual model will use just 4,7 litres per 100km and the AMT as little as 4,4 litres per 100km.

Safety matters

The Renault Kwid is fitted with dual front airbags and the full model range is equipped with ABS
