Toyota’s crossover contender the C-HR is well known for its avantgarde styling, high-level of specification and refined turbocharged powertrain. In the wake of last years facelift, the top of the range Luxury grade now receives some further aesthetic and safety upgrades.

Added style

The facelifted model’s sharpened head and tail lamp design is further enhanced with sequential indicators and a unique light cluster treatment. Dramatic Y-shaped light guides are paired with high-intensity Bi-beam LED light clusters with integrated Daytime Running Lights, while the fog lamps have also been upgraded to LEDs.

At the rear, the taillights have been treated to a dramatic three-segment LED design, complemented by smoked light surrounds and a horizontal cross section that extends across the tailgate.

The darkened light features, pair perfectly with the black roof treatment of the Bi-tone exterior treatment.

Added safety

Toyota’s Safety Sense has been upgraded with the addition of all-speed Adaptive Cruise Control, while the Lane Departure Alert system now boasts Lane Trace functionality. This system does not only help avoid unplanned lane departure, but also assist by centering the vehicle within the lane following the natural arc of the road.

Other features include the Pre-Collision system, Auto High Beam, rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitoring.

Under the bonnet

The well-proven 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine continues to do duty across the range and is coupled to either a CVT or six-speed manual transmission. The engine produces 85kW and 185Nm across a broad rev range, whilst using as little as 6.3 litres/100km.

High level of specification

A high level of specification, especially on the Luxury model includes keyless entry, push start operation, auto-retractable side mirrors, rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, Park Distance Control, automatic climate control, heated seats, Multi-Information Display, a touchscreen audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality and luxurious leather interior.

The Toyota Connect in-car telematics and Wi-Fi system is also included.
