Volkswagen announces pricing of new Tiguan Allspace
The new Tiguan Allspace will be available from Volkswagen dealerships this month
The popular Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace has received a variety of upgrades to bring it in line with the ever-evolving style and technological expectations of customers. The combination of being 22cm longer than a regular Tiguan as well as clever packaging allows the Allspace to carry seven passengers in comfort within its stylish yet sporty SUV shape.
The new Tiguan Allspace features an updated design and updates that offer an impressive sharper look, digital cockpit and comprehensive connectivity. The fitment of the latest technological features includes the addition of IQ.Light matrix headlights. The Tiguan Allspace will be available with a choice of three engines including a 1.4 TSI with 110kW, a 2.0 TSI with 132kW and a 2.0 TSI with 162kW. Three equipment packages include Life, Style and the top of the range R-Line.
What’s new?
In terms of the exterior, the illuminated radiator grille and dynamic turn signals are the main highlights. Customers also have the option of ordering the IQ.Light LED matrix headlights. The LED tail light clusters have also received a makeover. Two new paint colours as well as optional 18 and 19-inch alloy wheels for the Life model and 20-inch alloy wheels for the R-Line models add to the sporty styling.
Spacious interior
Adding a modern feel to the interior is the fitment of the Digital Cockpit as standard, an updated multi-function steering wheel and an infotainment system that features an 8.0-inch colour screen. The three-zone climate control system is controlled from a new module with touch panels in the centre console.
Under the bonnet
The new Tiguan Allspace is available with three efficient and powerful drive systems. The 1.4 TSI engine, with 110kW of power and 250Nm is paired with a six-speed DSG gearbox and uses just 7,1 litres/100km.
The mid-range 2.0TSI offers 132kW and 320Nm of torque and is paired with a seven-speed DSG transmission. VW claim that this model uses 8,9 litres/100km on the combined cycle.
The top of the range model is fitted with a 2.0 TSI turbocharged engine that boasts 162kW and 350Nm of torque. Coupled to a seven-speed DSG transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive it can sprint from standstill to 100km/h in just 6.5 seconds.
Advanced assist systems
The Tiguan Allspace is fitted with a variety of advanced assistance systems while the optional equipment package includes the enhanced Front Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking function, Lane assist, Lane departure warning system, Driver Alert system and Adaptive Cruise Control.
Specification packages
The new Tiguan Allspace is available with three specification packages named Life, Style and R-Line.
The Life model range features a high level of standard equipment including 18-inch Frankfurt alloy wheels, 8.0-inch Composition Media radio with App-Connect and Voice Control, Active Info display, Park Distance Control, three-zone climatronic climate control, multi-function Digital Cockpit Pro with multi-colour display, LED matrix head lights with separate LED daytime running lights, dynamic cornering lights and an electric tailgate amongst others.
The Style model builds on the high specification levels of the Life with the addition of Vienna leather seats and 18-inch Nizza alloy wheels.
The R -Line takes this one step further with 19-inch Valencia alloy wheels, exterior R-Line design, ambient interior lighting with 30 colours and dark LED rear lamps.
Model line up and pricing
The Tiguan Allspace will be sold as standard with a three-year/120 000km warranty and a five-year/90 000km EasyDrive Service Plan.
