Hyundai donates H100 to the Gift of the Givers
Hyundai Automotive SA continues to support the Gift of the Givers
Hyundai Automotive South Africa has handed over another H100 bakkie to the Gift of the Givers foundation. This vehicle will go a long way in assisting the organisation in their effort to get food to communities and families who do not have an income and suffer a food shortage.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Hyundai Automotive SA has donated a total of 10 vehicles to Gift of the Givers and FoodForward South Africa.
The donated vehicles include amongst others a H-1 Bus and two Grand i10 Cargo panel vans.
All the H100 bakkies donated have been fitted with closed canopies donated by Beekman, which just like Hyundai Automotive SA, is part of the Motus group.
The 1.3-ton H100 is one of the most successful vehicles in Hyundai’s local model range. It has proven itself under some of the toughest working conditions and has become the workhorse of choice for many small as well as large, established businesses and organisations in South Africa.
“We are proud to make a contribution to the wonderful effort of Gift of the Givers to bring urgent relief to fellow South Africans who are experiencing hunger and hardship due to circumstances that are out of their control,” said Stanley Anderson, sales, and operations director of Hyundai Automotive SA. “Our initiative forms part of the Hyundai Motor Company’s global drive to improve the lives of people in need.”
Gift of the givers, which was started by Dr Imtiaz Sooliman in 1992, aims to provide nutritious food and other essential items to impoverished children and families who are suffering in South Africa, especially those whose circumstances have worsened as a result of the devastating COVID-19 pandemic.
Gift of the Givers operates in many countries across the globe and is the largest disaster relief group of African origin.
