The Isuzu mu-X range has been updated and expanded for 2023 in order to broaden its appeal. In addition to a variety of design upgrades, the range has been expanded with additional derivatives.

The Isuzu mu-X features sleek modern styling, exceptional comfort, superb performance, advanced technologies, and impressive safety  features which makes it a fantastic family-orientated vehicle.

The mu-X range has been expanded with a four-wheel drive version of the high-spec 3.0 LSE along with a value orientated 1.9LS model for the first time. A total of five 3.0-litre mu-X models are now available, including the 3.0 LS and 3.0 LSE which can be specified in 4x2 and 4x4 versions, as well as the luxuriously appointed range topping 3.0 Onyx 4x4, all of which use Isuzu’s six-speed automatic transmission.

Updates for 2023

Th mu-X has been treated to an even more sophisticated and dynamic exterior appearance which includes dark Magnetite finishes for the radiator grille, front and rear bumpers, front fog lamp bezels, roof rails and side steps. The design of the rear combination lamps has also been updated.

LS models are now fitted with the same 18-inch alloys as the LSE along with a matching full-size alloy spare wheel while the top of the range Onyx models now ride on new 20-inch machined alloy wheels.

Everyday practicality is improved on high-spec LSE and Onyx models with the inclusion of a power tailgate with step sensor that has been integrated into the rear bumper, giving owners hands free access to the rear luggage compartment. The power tailgate is linked to the Passive Entry Start System and can also be operated via a button on the key fob.

Several new interior features add a further touch of class and practicality. The door and instrument panel garnishes echo the dark Magntite accents of the exterior. Leather seats are now standard across the range and the seat cushions have been revised to improve overall comfort and support.

LS models gain front and rear parking sensors and on the LSE an auto dimming rear view mirror is now standard. Paddle shifters have been added to the steering wheel, giving the driver fingertip control of the six-speed automatic gearbox. Privacy glass is now standard across the entire range.

Adventure-ready 3.0 LSE 4x4 AT

The new four-wheel drive LSE model is fitted with Isuzu’s 3.0-litre turbodiesel engine which develops 140kW at 3 600rpm and 450Nm from 1 600rpm. An electronically controlled part-time four-wheel drive system allows for easy switching between two-wheel drive, 4x4 high-range and 4x4 low range using a rotary dial on the centre console.

Packed with safety and convenience

Standard driver aids across the mu-X range include Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control, ABS brakes with EBD and Brake Assist, Brake Override Accelerator, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Trailer Sway Control, Cruise Control as well as front and rear parking sensors with a rear-view camera.

Passive safety features include driver and front passenger airbags, front seat side airbags, curtain airbags and a driver knee airbag.

LS models are equipped with a seven-inch touchscreen system with integrated Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Wi-Fi. On LSE models this is upgraded to a larger nine-inch touchscreen.
